Before the Holidays Get Loud, We Just Want to Say Thank You

Before the food, the gifts, the noise, and the chaos fully kick in, we wanted to take a moment to pause and simply say thank you.
Thank you for following along.
Thank you for reading, listening, sharing, and showing up this year.
And thank you for working on your finances, even when it feels uncomfortable or overwhelming.
That choice matters more than you think.
A Few Important Reminders as 2025 Wraps Up
In Brad’s final podcast episode of 2025, he shared something that feels especially fitting for this week:
Sometimes progress doesn’t come from doing more.
Sometimes it comes from doing less.
Here are a few ideas worth carrying with you into the holidays and beyond.
Stop waiting for the “perfect” time
There is no perfect paycheck. No perfect month. No calm season where money suddenly gets easier. Waiting usually isn’t about timing. It’s about fear. Progress starts with imperfect action, right where you are.
January is not a reset button
You don’t need to start over just because the calendar changes. What you’ve already done matters. Keep what worked in 2025, adjust what didn’t, and move forward. Momentum beats resetting every time.
Comparison will steal your progress
Social media shows highlight reels, not the stress, debt, or trade-offs behind the scenes. Your journey doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. Your pace isn’t behind. It’s yours.
Focus on one thing, not everything
Too many goals create overwhelm, and overwhelm leads to quitting. You don’t need a perfect plan. You need one clear priority and the consistency to stick with it.
Small wins still count
An extra $50 toward debt. Saying no once. Saving a little consistently. Those wins matter. When you notice them, confidence grows. And confidence is what keeps you moving forward.
As You Head Into the Holidays
Give yourself some credit.
You made it through another year.
You’re still here.
And you’re still capable of making progress, one step at a time.
We’re grateful to be part of your journey and excited to continue supporting you in 2026.
For now, take a breath. Enjoy the holiday. And know how much we appreciate you.
Happy Holidays,
Brad & the Debt Free Dad Team
